I was a year early on this. I was convinced it was coming after last season. I thought with Bryce Young and Will Anderson leaving, it was a good time for Saban to hang it up. But he came back for another year, was about as close as you can possibly get to winning yet… Read More Nick Saban The GOAT Has Retired
I have been traveling most of the month of December so I haven’t been really able to update the site as much as I’d like to. I had this post typed up in my notes app after the CFP Final Four was announced, and I just never got around to editing it and posting it.… Read More The CFP Committee Was Right to Put Bama in the Playoff. But FSU Fans Still have the Right to be Pissed.
They’ve done it. The Texas Longhorns have finally beaten Alabama. Well, finally in the sense of the Saban era. Texas actually has a winning record against Bama all time, however, they hadn’t beaten Bama since 1982, and until last night, all their wins against Bama happened between 1902 and 1982. Bama famously beat Texas in… Read More Texas is Finally Back (?!)
I saw this stat brought up on the Menace 2 Sports show on Tuesday. Alabama had the #1 class in the country that year. Let’s go over the names and what happened to these guys: ➡️ Transferred to Colorado in November 2019 ➡️ Entered transfer portal last month ✅ Stayed at Alabama, drafted first round… Read More 17 of the 27 Recruits in Alabama’s 2019 Class Have Transferred
Notable action from week 11 Bama is winning games on pure talent alone. Nick Saban, Bill O’Brien and Pete Golding are not outcoaching anyone. Looking just at power five opponents, and excluding Vanderbilt, who has Saban outcoached? The noon window: Okay, yes, A&M eventually lost that game 41-24. A&M is a disaster this year. But I thought given how many players they were missing, they played well. Just look at this: Alas, Texas A&M is now on pace for their first losing season since 2009. They are now 3-6 and unlikely to… Read More CFB Week 9 Reactions, Hot Takes and Observations
Guest post by FTP SEC insiders Hunter Jefferson Davis Reagan, and Carter Lee Dawson IV, who are based out of Oxford, Mississippi. Tennessee. They beat Bama, man. Nuff said. They might be hillbillies but they sure throwed the football around. Alabama: Lost to the number one team in the country on the road by a… Read More SEC REPORT: HUNTER AND CARTER’S WEEK 8 COLLEGE FOOTBALL POWER RANKINGS
I started this post early in the Bama – Tennessee game and I’m just going to keep a running account of my thoughts at every stage of this game. Bama is committing a ludicrous amount of penalties and mental errors. It’s the first quarter and it feels like they’ve already committed like 7 penalties. Very… Read More CFB Week 7 Observations
Vegas’s take on the Michigan/Penn State game as of Wednesday: Penn State has not won a road game against a top-5 ranked team since 1994. The team they beat that year was… Michigan. (Penn State was ranked #3 that year and Michigan was #5, and Penn State won the game 31-24). I’ve kind of been… Read More Predictions for Bama vs. Tennessee AND Penn State vs. Michigan
I’m about to fire off some hot takes, here goes: Not only would Texas be 6-0 if Ewers didn’t get hurt, they would have blown out Alabama. I’m sitting here watching Alabama, Jalen Milroe just threw a pick with about a minute left in the first half, the score is 14-14. Texas would have beaten… Read More College Football Week 6 Reactions: FRAUDS Everywhere?!
